ABOUT JEMISON BANDS

The Jemison High School band program is led by Dakota Bromley, and the Jemison Middle School band program is led by Charlie Mercier. In the past 10 years, the overall band program in Jemison has grown significantly. Starting with just one band teacher, a small room and around 100 total students, the program has grown enough to add a full time middle school band director, an additional larger band room, and now boasts around 300 students in the band program overall. The band program now features several ensembles and classes: two large beginner band classes, two eighth grade band classes, JHS concert band, JHS Wind Ensemble, and the JHS Blue Regiment Marching Band. Band is the largest elective option and student organization at both Jemison Middle and Jemison High Schools.
